The Mighty Elk Crick

The Mighty Elk Crick
The boys have been hitting up Elk Creek in Erie PA the past few weeks. Yesterday had low-to normal flows with some snow melt in the afternoon bringing some beautiful tint to the water.
Sight fishing for the steelhead has been key to success and is easily done when flows are low. Fish hiding under or around structure were more eager to eat than the ones pooled up in the holes.
Yesterday Fred caught a Trout Yeah record lake run brown trout. No idea the pounds but it made the “wishful thinking” net look small
Happy fishing everybody!
Love Always
